Our generation is one that is known for being tech savvy and being “addicted” to our cellular devices. Our phones can be used for a variety of different reasons from texting, calling, sending pictures and shooting out quick emails to colleagues. There are also a multitude of apps that can help out with staying active and tracking physical activity.
About: Lose It! is a super cool app that is available on both iPhones and Androids, that is an easy way to keep track of your physical activity and also the food that you are putting into your body. Lose It! has features that allow the user to take pictures, search and even scan food items to get its nutritional value and save it into your daily diet. I would highly recommend this app if you are someone who likes to keep track of what they eat but may not have time to write everything down or remember it. Lose It! would be a great app to use if you are somebody who is always on the go. Best thing of all, this is a free app, unless you want to upgrade to the premium version that allows for a few extra features.
About: Pedometer ++ is an app that will count the number of steps that you are taking per day. A really cool feature about this app is that it won’t drain your battery life while counting your steps and doesn’t need to be opened to be working at counting steps. You can set goals for yourself and track your daily progress. This is app is also free.
About: Move is a very similar app to Pedometer ++. The difference with Move is that this one also tracks running, cycling and all different types of movement per day. If you are more interested in knowing about all of the physical activity you take part in, this would be a great app for you. Another cool feature about this app is that it counts calories and you are also able to connect with a multitude of different apps that allow you to use the app in many different ways. This app will require you to keep your phone charged up because it will drain a lot of battery in the background while being used. It will take the phone a lot of power to count calories and track your location and movement throughout your day, so make sure that you plug your phone in before planning on using this app. Like the other two previous apps, this one is also free .99.
